i have a bunch of UPSs and i'd like to combine them so that they all pool their power into a single PDU, how do i do this?
i understand that daisychaining them is bad, so that's out of the question. all the PDUs i'm looking at only have one input, and i doubt i can get a y-cable with more than two inputs.
ideas?

I'm in a new (old) house. My USB mic produces a terrible buzz noise that I have determined is a ground feedback loop. I can touch a USB port on my computer case, and it completely goes away. Besides attaching a wire to my body and to a spare USB plug at all times, what else can I do to fix this buzz.

inb4 ground-riser your entire power system.

i understand what hypervisors / virtual machines do, what i don't understand is why anyone would want to use them

the best answer i've got is 'security' or 'platform independence' but these are both vague: how do they provide greater security etc.?

i mean isn't the fundamental security principle simplicity? if i'm running xen + OS, then isn't that more exposure?

OpenWRT vs DD-WRT vs Tomato.

The debate rages on. Which do you pick and why?

Looking to get either an N or AC compatible router/AP and looking to get the best mileage out of the third party firmware.
