>FX-8350 cost less than it 3570k
>has more overall processing power
>All FX chips unlocked
>FX8350 supports unbuffered ECC and is better than Xeon E3 for budget workstation
>Soldered spreaders when Intel wouldn't

>>68904224
This, how many times must I talk my shit on one of these threads? FX was not the greatest but it's fine, and rather good if you have my needs.

Good shit Anon, I hope the build OC's well, should do at least 4.2GHz.

Don't be too hard on those sticks, 2000mhz is still pretty impressive, I can get my HyperX fury 1866 sticks to 2050mhz on stock 1.5v before it refuses to post and I don't want to overvolt them.

>>68576332
Thanks, 4.4GHz with 1.38 load line calibrated should be possible on all 8350s, 1.44375v gets me to 4.5 but it hits close to 70c.

That's based Anon, I can get mine 8350 to 4.5GHz on 8 cores with it at 1.44375 and Medium LLC but it will hit 65C and throttle to 1.4GHz and keep bouncing the frequency up and down, so I daily 4.4GHz with 1.38125v

If single core performance is your thing, the chip is capable of 4.5GHz at 1.38125v Medium LLC in One core per CU mode and the temps are great.

>Soldered spreader even after intel came out with X79 and starting jewing with TIM to gimp Z series chips post sandy (No Sandy-e at the time so they soldered it)
>Unlocked across all chips
>shits all over the i5s at the time in rendering and cost less
It wasn't the worst CPU ever.

I'm about that multi threading life but the ipc is terrible.

The higest you can run on that board is a 95w CPU, so the Phenom X6 1055T is the higest you can go due to VRM limitations, a 1090t or 1100t would work in the board but it couldn't sustain it's base clock if you stress it.

FX8350 with a 7970 is a really nice meme machine.

>Disable four of the 8350 cores for better ipc
>OC to 4.6

>tfw everything still usable and fast.
I really wish I had built a Nahelem machine in 2010, my family even had the money but I was too pussy to build it.

Nice nice, my whole damn rig was build around encoding on placebo mode for hours and hours, that's why I got a board with a good VRM and a nice cooler. and overbought a 750w psu that I know wouldn't be touched by a max load FX chip.

Buy an i7 2600 for it and it should be a beast, LGA 1155 was a good socket.
