dont ever get thin rimmed glasses unless the glass is large or of a shape other than "square".
If you can, dont get nose pads. - those plastic things that sit on the nose, instead just get a solid frame.
make sure they are not going to break at the slightest pressure or bend either, you want something half sturdy.

Black, Brown or a metal for colour, nothing else.

dont get transition lenses, they make you look like an idiot, however functional they are.

If you intend to wear them a lot, buy them as it they were a watch or some sort of "permanent" accessory. imo, larger glasses look better, dont get slim frames, or wire frames or anything like that.

ive been wearing glasses for almost 10 years.
