I feel I should comment about the difference between Needles and Engineered Garments

because they're both related to Nepethes, people might (wrongly) assume that Needles is similar to Engineered Garments. I have two jackets from EG, and one from Needles; my experience is limited, but I feel I can speak to the difference between the two brands. And my advice is this: buy Needles only if you like the styling; its quality is not comparable to Engineered Garments'.

Suzuki is mindful to small details, and when you buy from his brand you may find some pleasant minor detail in his work; Needles, however, is very much you-get-what-you-pay-for. I bought a jacket from them, with sheepskin lining on the pockets, and found that the sheepskin lining extended not far below the top edge of the pockets.

My EG fall jacket had surprised me with corduroy lined pockets when I bought it -- when I first put it on, I was all smiles, finding that the pockets warmed my hands more than I expected. Do not expect such an experience with Needles. The materials were as good as you might expect, but the details will not surprise you.

Needles is not like EG that way, but the styling is cool nonetheless

I remember seeing a really good deal on them at Gentry as well. I guess nobody wanted to buy green boots, because they went on sale at every store that carried them

I'd probably switch the laces to some flat waxed ones in a dark brown or black, and I honestly don't much like the antique brass eyelets. but other than that, I kinda like them

but that sole is beyond awful on snow and ice. I have a few pairs with the same sole and it's even worse than the vibram christy, which is bad.

those boots are great but they'd be horrible for OP. and I'm pretty sure blue button shop only has like one size left anyway
