hai /fa/shionistas, I have a question for you: Are barefoot shoes a meme? The more I read about "the proper walking technique" or "the right shoe" the more confused I get. Everybody says something different. I did enjoy walking barefoot a while ago, but didnt enjoy hurting my feet stepping on glass and shit, so I stopped. I thought this is what barefoot shoes would be good for.
The ones I ordered felt utterly shit and had this stupid notch around the edge of sole which would become an obvious weak point every time I stepped heel-first, so I returned them. Im unsure whether to even pursue this stuff. Sorry for blogpost, /fa/llows.

Can you guys help me track these shoes down

What is the ideal amount of toe space? How do you buy shoes that you will wear during different seasons, accounting for varying sock thickness? How are your toes supposed to feel at the end of shoes? How many inches of toe space do you need?

Most shoes feel too small or too big to me, and I’ve tried on enough pairs that I don’t even know what fits right anymore.

I don’t think so. Wearing these shoes with bare feet would be so gross. Who wants to see someone’s bare feet? Plus they don’t breath particularly well. You definitely need to wear them with socks

I’m admittedly torn. I kinda like the subtlety of the darker socks that you can only really see up close, but on the other hand I like how the more colorful socks really pop with the shoes. I guess there’s no harm doing both

They were 700 pesos which is a lot for us brown boys, and they're actually my pair to be chill at home since I hate using sneakers thou I should start buying a pair since using formal shoes 24/7 is kinda hard.
