Don't, belgian camo is ugly as sin in rl, it has a very unpleasant yellow/mustard tint.

Travel? Maybe look for fabric plants in your vicinity, if there are any they will most likely do some cool stuff since high tech fabrics are pretty much the only way such companies can still make a profit due to the highly competitive field unless they are some sort of industry giant.

Yeah, surely you could, but people on here tend to not think through what it means to actually run a business, often lack the skills and determination (mostly determination), they're just latching onto it cause they find the idea "cool", it's really a huge investment to undertake unless you just want to make some edgy graphic tees with monochrome prints.
You'll need equipment, fabrics, small goods like zippers, buttons, obviously fabric, dress forms and most of all, decent designs.
Not to put anyone here down but pretty much all sketches I see on here are just awfully derivative of the more commonly mentioned brands around; lacking any identity that the designer could have integrated into his garment designs.

Just have a quick search, trade shows are happening in every somewhat larger city and most of the time you can get a pass quite easily if you're being a bit sneaky about it. If you go to one and find a fabric you like talk to the reps and see if you can strike a deal, even if you have to buy a larger amount of fabric you might consider just selling extra yardage off since you might even strike a profit from that if you know what you're doing.

Fabric trade shows, you'd be hard pressed to find actual tech fabric in small yardage unless you live near a plant that makes it allowing you to pick up scraps.

It's a foolish notion to cheap out on frames if you are among the crowd that routinely wears high end designer, yet you see people in 2k$ fits wearing bloody ray ban frames.

Got mine for 70$, don't charge people up the arse for a basic tee. Why you selling it though?

I find the leather on timbs to be quite shit to work with tbh, never really had any success in distressing it nicely since it tends to behave weirdly and it seemed to straight up reject most fabric/leather dyes i threw at it and the one it took came out looking awful.

Maybe just nail them to a tree and leave them to weather for a year or two and then wear your rotten, stinky boots.

I wear dita. Dita is lovingly handcrafted by pure japanese maidens. You'll pay out the ass for it though. Still the best glasses I've owned. Second would be Larke for opticals. Most of the time i just pop in contacts, especially when I wear sunglasses it's just a lot more practical.

If they're surplus they were just laying around in a warehouse for some time until the army decided to auction them off, some armies sell off the used stuff after it has been cleaned and washed. Out here most of the stuff you get when you join has been worn before and put through the washing machine once and gets handed out to you, it's not ideal but money don't grow on trees.

Thanks for the recs, doesn't look like anything I'd actually wear, but still appreciate the stuff and will check it out at some point when I'm there.

Much helpful, thanks, any stores to check out? I know about eigensinnig, anything else? Also, will people laff at me for wearing yohji like they do in this tiny mountain kaff?

The modern Feldstiefel is such utter shit, I got brand new ones when I joined and the whole thing is falling apart already, leather is some thin, yet hard, really plastic looking shit, loose threads hanging out everywhere, sole stitching looks like it has been done by a chimpanzee. The pants are some awful synthetic/cotton blend, thin as paper. Really glad the winter has been mild so far, I'd prolly have frozen to death otherwise.

You're in Vienna, right? I'm moving there this fall, anything to prepare a misguided alpine twat?

Bundesheer reporting in, the modern stuff is utter shit. Glad all my paternal ancestors were in there so I have some stuff laying about.
