It's never concerned me personally, but you wont have any trouble with the silk/viscose ones, theyre pretty thick.

The basic cotton sleeveless tee's are the thinnest ones I have and its barely noticeable, and I usually wear another layer on top anyway.

But you can't do the 'look' on the cheap. Cheap poorly constructed cotton garments look terrible compared to high quality cotton. The effect and draping is just incomparable.

There is a people pay the money, if you stimp out it looks like you're wearing Primark tee's with polyester hi-tops. This really isnt a look where you can spend $40 in Hong Kong and look anywhere near decent.
