thanks so much, this is awesome

Anyone know of a good way to buy hard copies online? I took a few back from Japan the other month but couldn't fit as many as I wanted in my bag. Is amazon.jp good for shipping to Canada?

Also how are these magazines so superior to the stuff from the West? Their graphic design seems so much better

Fill that bookshelf with some books and other assorted trinkets. Vintage shit is cool but don't be a poser. Put some art on the wall. You'll want something with a wood frame and a lot of white space. Add a few if you want. Then add a bunch of houseplants and you're golden. Put a few on the desk and one on top of the shelf. As the other anon suggested, get some white sheets. Your floor looks ok so I don't know if you need a rug.

What's wrong with that choice? My French is too shit to work in Montreal and it's getting expensive anyway

>>13600095
Yeah good point. There are a ton of levels of government in the area so it becomes inefficient. It seems like the best choice, since all the large cities in Canada are prohibitively expensive and I'm getting tired of the whole "everyone who doesn't own a house in the suburbs is shit" mentality in Calgary.

Either way I'm stuck in Waterloo area for the next few years so RIP me

>> No.13600004 [View]

OP here, I'm probably moving to KW...or maybe Guelph. I'm getting the impression it's just more suburban monoculture with inflated house prices though.

Anyway I think the dream would be working in Ottawa and living in Gatineau for the cheap beer and cheap housing.

Feeling low because I'm probably moving to Ontario, which isn't /fa/ and is hated on by all the other provinces. Show me some better places to live

St. John's seems amazing. I hear almost overwhelming praise for it these days. Is there hostility towards transplants from the rest of Canada? If you're from elsewhere, do you keep in touch with people from back home or is it like moving to another country almost?

Oh wait I forgot

Major con:
> Almost non-existant music and art scene. Kind of a pain in the ass when I want to find people to start a band with.

Wudup Queen's senpai

Montrealer who moved to Kingston in grad school.

Pros:
> Pretty much everything the other dude said
> Gotta reiterate the part abut the girls. Very basic but the vast majority are fit and pay attention to their physique.
> Tons of awesome architecture, really old ass buildings and charming houses
>Easy af to meet people (not sure why this is)
> Super walkable and right in between 3 of Canada's largest cities
> Bar scene is good in the sense that you don't have to deal with uber/driving drunk other bullshit because you can just walk home. There isn't much diversity in bars but it's all concentrated in one area which is nice.

Cons:
> Not sure about SJW shit, there are a lot of rich WASP-y Ontario boys though
>Shopping selection is pretty decent for size of the city (the city kills Sherbrooke, Guelph and even cities several times its size in most respects desu)
> North part of downtown is not even that bad, some seedy fuckers but they're harmless and will probably only steal your bike
> Summer is nice af but yeah everybody leaves
> No private sector jobs and too much competition

>>11688567
It'll get better. Trust me man, my ex decided to pursue the life you're talking about. She's 21 with a kid and married to a dude with a dead end job. As soon as you're done busting your ass things will get better. I'm from a small town too and it's nice to visit and all, but it's depressing coming back and hanging out with people who never left and having to deal with driving 20 minutes just to get to the bar.

Dude you will be fine. I wore some bomber last winter and chippewa apaches 95% of the time. Canadian winters are getting tame. Please don't buy canada goose.

There's just the basic shit on Princess (urban outfitters, American Apparel, whatever the fuck) and the Bay at the Cataraqui Centre, but the value village has a decent amount of shit. It's too far for most poor undergrads and a lot of cool shit from the states gets left there. I got a vintage LL Bean anorak last time I was there.

Really? She seems to have 0 interest in meeting a guy though. I figured that us splitting up would probably give her a kick in the ass to lose weight, go out and be more social again, so I guess it sort of makes sense.
