last time my dad went there took the shinkansen (bullet train) and it was for 3 weeks. you could get a ticket to anywhere within a timeperiod for a reasonably good price

going to bali for a week for a wedding, all expenses covered, food, flight, accommodation, weddin clothes etc
all i have to bring is pocket money

i layer my socks but im not sure if its effay or not, it just keeps me nice and warm in cold windy weather
but make sure when you layer them always wear the thinner sock first unless you want your feet to smell like the ganges river
thinner sock is like an onion peel, this transfers heat to the thicker sock, its some kind of insulation thing
