What is the sizing of the Achilles? I am US size 10-10.5, but in Chucks i'm US size 9.

Also, recommend some similar sneaker, less expensive, but not cheap, brand name?

Could you at least post the resulting fit? If not, good thread.

They are the same type of laces used in old combat boots - they are round and waxed and i am pretty sure they won't snap. This is exactly the type of laces i was searching for and in white color, they are perfection.
