earlier i said that examples make things more personal and that makes things more credible and it strikes a bigger chord in the reader

why do people quickly look down at their iphones quickly during awkward or threatnening situations
why is "retail therapy" a thing?
where did the idea of mixng and matching clothes in a historically ignorant way come into play and why has it become the norm?

and if you examine cultures throughout history you will see the similarities

we are too safe, safer than ever (at least in first world countriess)
