yeah but in this case his advice is accurate.

it's not impossible to get quality selvedge denim from china, but to say that on the whole there is no difference between japanese denim and chinese denim is just false.

unbranded denim is just okay for its price. after having mine for about 9 months one of the flat felled seams on the leg has come undone, they use some really shitty thread which is causing the stitching on my pair to come apart in various places.

you're getting pretty mad about the username a random stranger is choosing to use on a micronesian claymation website. you might want to reconsider your priorities if you're this emotionally invested in it.

if you want something that will keep its shape but is at the same time super skinny, consider some denim with elastine or spandex in it. N&F's super skinny guy power stretch might be good for you.

6'3" here. the problem with this is that you can never really predict how much a single article of clothing will shrink, and if it doesn't shrink enough then you've just wasted money. have you actually done it with any level of success?

those are obviously the same as the ones in OP's pic. you're getting pretty upset about this, you might want to rethink your life choices if you're getting this mad about a post on a micronesian claymation website.

dude they're just jeans. wearing them out in the rain isn't going to cause them to fade oddly unless you get literally gallons of water dumped on you every time you step outside.

pls for the love of god give your shoes a conditioning. i can just hear them screaming in dry, brittle agony with every step. nice jawns tho.

Raw Denim 101:

If you need some more information, these two articles from rawrdenim are fantastic starting points.
Buying Your First Pair - A simple five-step guide
Selvedge Denim - A comprehensive explanation

Quick tips to anyone who wants to get into it
>Be patient, you don't need raws right away!
I know nobody wants to be dropping 300 bucks on Pure Blue Japan denim, but you don't have to have to settle on Levi's because you don't have the money right now. Take a month, and save up for a midrange brand. Chances are, most flagship pairs aren't going anywhere.

>How does X fit?
Blue owl workshop's measurements are usually consistent with one another. Measure a pair you like according to their guide, and compare it with measurements on their site. If you find a better price, then grab it somewhere else afterwards

>What brands?
Tricky question. The sticky denim section has a huge brand list, and most are agreed to be good quality. At the end of the day, as long as a brand is agreed to be "good," it just comes down to fit and color which is a personal preference.

>Raw denim is a troll
Then don't buy it

>But you shouldn't buy it!
Thanks for sharing! :)
