Buy basics. What I mean by that is plain tees, sweaters, sweatshirts. Keep it simple and buy neutral colors for now. Maybe buy a pair or two of nice jeans and a pair of chinos. A parka or something. Any jacket you like really. Then just lurk here and on other fashion sites. Figure out what you like and start buying pieces you like.
