there's no age limit on aesthetics. dress however you want. if you are in your "Roth year" then you've lived with yourself for so long that you should know a thing or two about who you are, and if you don't, then really you're kind of nobody, right? you just live the script (which isn't necessarily a bad thing so long as it was a conscious, critical decision) and follow the curve of life that you think you're supposed to because of internalized limitation & meaning

I disagree. I think they have a great chunky-sneaker silhouette. It looks like the poorcore version of like some KVAs or ROs. Imagine these with blacked-out stitching

addendum:

the back paneling on this boot angles outward a bit. because of this, they are not fit for wear with very tight skinny jeans, as the jean will look totally stretched out in the back and give an awkward silhouette. some chelseas have a slimmer silhouette. these work well with slim-straight and slim-tapered pants. i wear them with slim-tapered black jeans most of the time.

I know cole haan aint that popular around here, but it's a waterproof chelsea that has a leather upper and a leather lining and insole.

sizing:

these run large. I'd recommend sizing down at least 1 full size from your regular sneaker size.


i sized down 1.5 and they fit nice and snug like a leather chelsea should. for example, I wear a 12 in most nike trainers and in this cole haan boot I wear a 10.5. but my feet are very narrow, as are the boots. if you don't have narrow feet, don't size down 1.5 like I did, but still size down.

I bought these last night because I've been wanting chelseas and also they're waterproof which is perfect because it started raining today

saw these in barneys today for $820 (lol)

looked at the label that said "Made in China"

turned 360 degrees and almost copped SLP white studded high tops on sale for 260 but I didn't like the feel of the leather even though it's supposedly "calfskin" it didn't feel 3-bills-quality let alone its original price of 7-something
