I feel like men and women's clothing quality can differ. I have some pretty quality things from Target like a lyocell button down and it was on the same level of quality as the same shirt from Anthropologie.

Jewel toned/deep colors. e.g., dark purple, navy (a lot of navy) dark tan, black, forest green, olive green, maroon, etc.

TOPS
Cardigans in navy, black, and white or cream color.
A tailored blazer, preferably in navy or a dark color.
Button up shirts in white, cornflower blue, and chambray.
Sweaters in dark, jewel tones.
Peacoat.
(Maybe a parka can work?)
Tops that have stripes or polka dots.

BOTTOMS
Khaki slim pants.
Khaki shorts that are a midi length.
Dark blue slim jeans.
A-line skirts.

SHOES
Flats in black, navy, or a tan color.
A nice pair of knee-high riding boots.

ACCESSORIES
Understated jewelry.
A single gold bracelet, pearl necklace or earrings.
KJP/JKP (or what ever his name is) bracelet.

I added to the women's guide a bit (outerwear) and I will add some later on.

This hat looks bad. I suggest not wearing it or having it. It's a female's fedora and it looks just as bad as the guys wearing the fedora.

I am alright with it since the boots turned out to out do the original designer in terms of comfort.

I bought a pair of boots from Target that were dupes/fakes of Dolce Vita and the fakes felt better than the real boots. I had the intention of buying the real ones but they felt hard on the heel, but the Target pair felt good enough to wear all day and I wore them all day a few times too.

I think thick heeled shoes are fine and are quite comfortable to wear all day, Litas do not look like it though.

I think Litas and other platform heels and boots are finally going away.
