I went down for an interview and kinda three-quarter-arsed it because I wanted to be living somewhere with a better music/art scene.

Depends on the context.
Out and about in town fashion is mostly inspired by er, just me. I just see things that I like and piece them together, sometimes if i'm looking for a certain item of clothing i'll keep a bit of an eye out whilst i'm wandering in the more arty parts of town to see if anything strikes me.

For clubbing, I'm pretty much exclusively inspired by Berlin's gay club scene. Fucking hell they know how to dress well. Naturally it's all black. They also know how to party far better than straight people. Bunch of well dressed mad 'eds.

You're wrong about CC not being big on /mu/.
DG and CC aren't mad similar, although they're both very noisy and take a lo-fi approach to production. And CC don't totally suck, their first album was pretty fucking original, they just kinda atrophied creatively after it.
