>How do I find something that doesn't fuck me up?
If your skin works best without too many products, then feel free to skip them. Just make sure to use sunscreen - especially in the red areas and places where you have scars.

Posting a picture of the redness would help. Could be rosacea given that isotret helped, could be isotret-induced erythema, could be localized postinflammatory issues, et c. Adapalene can even exacerbate the redness, heh.

Cheers. That's what the FAQ is for.
Note that I originally posted it here more than half a decade ago, and it has just been reposted by other people since (I'm not OP).

Not just dryness. Athlete's foot. Fungal infection spread to the hands.
If you've already tried topical OTC anti-fungals, then see a derm. Don't forget to scrape off the peeling skin in the most affected areas, after showering, before applying the cream/spray.

>What counts as cleaning?
without technical jargon: using cleansers, different kinds of soap, shampoo, et c that makes it easier for oils and other superficial skin components to carried away with water. cleaning is the step that causes the most issues for people with dry and/or sensitive skin.
it can facilitate water loss in the skin, make your skin less pliable and soft, disrupt its barrier functions, and irritate it and aggravate inflammation. this is true even for well-designed product formulations.
that's why I recommend less washing, as other products can achieve the same approximate goals (mainly using exfoliators) without ruining the skin too much. you may want to still use a cleanser regularly, but to a limited extent (smaller amount, diluted, et c). it's just good to know that daily cleaning isn't mandatory.

>recommending products from Walmart expecting results
Product efficacy is not dependent on purchase location.

>People with nice skin spend money on nice products
Sure, but that does in no way mean that spending money on certain products is a prerequisite for having good skin.
It is perfectly possible for some to not have to spend that much money, or any money at all, on skincare products to keep their skin problem-free.

"Nice" products within the realm of skincare are generally rehashed versions of cheaper products, consisting of: cheap generics, arbitrary plant extracts, a few "magical" compounds deemed fashionable at the time, "organic" and "Fairtrade" labeling, smart marketing, and diminishing returns.

>those nice products wouldn't exists if they weren't magnitudes better
Incorrect. There are many products that exist even though they aren't better than cheaper options.
They don't have to be better to remain on the market. They can simply be made to cater to a certain customer demographic. I'd argue that most high-end skincare products are "worse" in the sense that they are immensely less cost-effective.

>Cetaphil/CeraVe/or whatever cheap crap the op recommends
Product efficacy is not dependent on product pricing.
Recommendations for those specific "cheap crap" products can also be found in Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology, Practical Dermatology, Practical Dermatology for Pediatrics, Conference Proceedings of Clinical Dermatology, et c - and they're also commonly used as "reference" moisturizers/cleansers in studies on sensitive skin.

note that Palladium uses glue for that label on several models (incl. ones made of canvas and ballistic nylon).
I haven't bothered removing it since this label faces in when the boot is folded up in "high" mode.
each shoe generally has five kinds of branding:

>Printed logo on sole

>Woven label on tongue
use a seam ripper. this label can also unfortunately be printed on.

>Printed logo on tongue lining.
seam ripper + scissors

>Side label on heel
razor, permanent marker

>Rubber patch on quarter (the one under discussion)
if it's glued on I wouldn't bother. if it's sewn on you can just use a seam ripper.
I haven't encountered a label that is both sewn and glued on, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Are you the Anon who posted about SEBACEOUS HYPERPLASIA in January?

I'd just like to inform you that your condition can be treated using both oral isotretinoin (Accutane) as well as manual extraction (lancing & laser pinholing). Since your derm doesn't seem to know this then see one who does.
