I have a fall wedding to go to

What kind of dress, makeup, etc do I into?

My complexion is fair, I'm pretty quiet, so I though perhaps a subtle approach

Pic somewhat unrelated

Go natural, A darker shade of lipstick than your natural colour.
Post pics of you and your budget.

It would be helpful to see what you look like. I know that sounds like an invasion of privacy, but honestly it's nearly impossible to toss out good advice without some idea of who we're helping. A 300lb black girl with a pear shape is gonna need different advice than a 100 lb asian model, for example.

A picture would help a lot... you can just crop out your face if you want

People have different body types and height/weight won't accurately determine which shape

Then wear you're best dress or something simple, and plain, can't really go wrong with solid colours.

No matter how much money you have you should probably make a budget, unless you're going as someone's date. Weddings can get crazy expensive. I'm going to one next weekend and between gifts, the bachelorette, a dress, accessories, my hotel room, hair, makeup, nails, and renting a car it'll total around $1500 and my dress was only 10% of that.

>> No.9985061

>>9985034
Most of those expenses don't apply, making my gift (painting), staying with family, etc

>> No.9985070

Now that's how you ask for fashion advice
God bless you

A couple things first
The first error most girls make while going to a wedding is overdoing shit as if competing with the just married bride was a life or death mission
Keep it simple, simple hairdo and simple make up.
Dress is all about the venue and location, is it hot, cold, humid?

Go for plain. Non-offensive/neutral color. Midi skater or maxi dress. If you're going for a traditional color, you might want to slightly spice it up with a pattern or color blocking so you won't look like a bridesmaid.

Belt could work depending on the dress.

What do you think the weather will be like? Is it indoor or outdoor? Do you know what colour the bridal party will be wearing (probably avoid that colour)? Where does it take place? How many people do you know there? Are you attending both the reception and the ceremony? Are you into dancing? Are you absolutely set on a dress or would you want to wear separates? Do you know how formal the event is?

In the outfits you've posted before, grey looks nice on you. A classic elegant cut in a soft grey could be nice? And gives you more room to do something edgier with makeup

She lives in Germany, I think, so that wouldn't happen.

>Zimmermann makes lovely cuts of dresses in different prints and colours. Some are quite sexy but still rather elegant. If you decide on a colour I'd like some soft pinks and blues on you.

You have really nice shoulders and collarbone area so you should pick something that show off those areas in a feminine and classy way. Not necessarily strapless but you can get away with a low neckline and delicate straps without worrying about your breasts spilling out too.

So I attended one in Montreal few years ago around same time, not warm not cold, I'll avoid their colours, rural estate reception indoors and out, apart from my family no one, yes and yes, dancing not so much, I'm somewhat set on a maxi dress atm, it's a traditional christian wedding, probably not the most formal

Define edgy?

I'd love the right print, but the grey solids are looking nice too and I'm loving Zimmermann

They even reserved two seats for me assuming I'm seeing someone, I'm not ;_;

make up: eyes- browns, coppers, khakis, grays, purples. Dont go too heavy on black liner. Avoid yellow, pink, light greens, blue and any strong colors. Dont put a shit load on, just keep it subtle.

lips: tans, browns, darker reds,
