POMADE
anything pomade is effay

>> No.9864068

I prefer Fiber (the blue). All else is too greasy or my hair. By virtue of being wax, fiber will also look the most natural given the end product.

what store is that?

looks like walmart judging by those price labels.

American Crew pomade costs fucking $26 where I am in Canada.

>What's your hair type and cut like?
Very short on the sides, a bit longer on the top. Very fine hair, so anything greasy makes it look awful. The fiber is generally the only thing I can pull off without looking like a mess. Your mileage may vary on the pomade if you have thicker hair.

Target has fairly universal planograms.

I have fine hair as well and sounds like we have the same hairstyle to a degree.

I style with blue AC wax and my hair falls down after an hour. Does it not weigh your hair down?

I find Murray's to be fantastic, is their NuNile any good?

I have gotten a few pomades since I took this photo and my current favorite is Toar and Roby's Medium which comes from Indonesia. NuNuile is pretty good yes.

Yes, before I started chemotherapy I wore a pompadour.

I actually really liked it. Wasn't crazy about the scent but for how much hold it has it was easy to scoop and put in the hair.

Not terribly, but mine is short and I let it lie down a bit. I don't really try to get much verticality out of anything.

That being said, I know some barbers who swear by gel. I thought it was really a bit implausible initially, but you can essentially put it in and break up the look with a comb so that it doesn't have the crystalline look you get with gel. Looks pretty good, and might get you the hold you want - just not sure how the technique would work.

def the best for my type of hair

it depends on which hairstyle you're going for as the different colors don't designate best to worst they just have different properties.

26 canada money isnt the same as 26 usd. also, dont you include the tax in the price in canada? tax isnt included in america.

>> No.9865493

No.

Also the Canadian dollar was around 0.95 USD recently but has plummeted in recent months.

>> No.9865503

>>9865482
yeah, if you were to pay the canadian price for AC in US dollars it would cost you more than $30 before taxes.

and even when the dollar was about par like tripskank said, it was still $26 for AC, a bit absurd since comparable pomades i've used are similarly priced for US and CAD, but for some reason American Crew is rape up here.

>> No.9865538

Reddit and 4chan are filled Canadians for some reason

Canadians always bitch about products from America but they don't realize they're buying international products hence markup

yeah I understand the economics of it, but american crew seems to be much more expensive than it's US brethren compared to other products i've had experience with it. OSIS and Schwarzkopf aren't much more expensive here than in america, like a dollar or two more.

Like 4 euros, invisible and holds great.

I have fiber, it's cool. Sometimes if I don't put enough my hair gets messy later in the day, but I have the absolute worst unruly hair ever, it's like post-curly wavey and thick. But yeah Fiber helps

Is American Crew fiber the same as their classic wax?
