Nice campus, nice surrounding area. Quiet neighborhood. Take advantage of your access to Colonial Williamsburg and Lake Mataoka for great picnic-ing and general hanging out.

If you're into parties, check out the frats on New Campus and the sororities on the border of Old Campus - though I think the frats were more active.

Profs are generally understanding. Keep an ear out for campus happenings.

Honestly I'm a bit of a shut-in so I didn't participate in many of them. Films are shown in the Sunken Garden fairly regularly, various culture nights, improv comedy shows, Easter egg hunts, haunted tours of campus around Halloween, readings of Christmas stories by the president, the Primal Scream the night before exams (students gather in the Sunken Garden and scream at midnight), etc.

Good school; social life was nil unless you were in a fraternity; shitty sports teams and overrated professors. The place has been on a building binge for 20 years and the administration is obsessed with squeezing alumni for cash and the latest US News College ranking. Not too stressful IMO; I honestly think it's that the type of people that go there aren't well equipped to deal though. It's a certain type of student you'll recognize when you see - most students refer to them as TWAMPS (typical W&M kids).
