Eh not that dressy to be honest, especially after some wear.
OSB trench boots are a good alternative if you prefer a lower profile toebox.
If you don't mind going custom you could check out Whites/Nicks boots. Quality will be superior to OSB.

Look at a few tutorials and decide. For bleaching I usually leave things in undiluted <5% chlorine bleach until I like the color. I've done this twice with mixed results: a pair of black jeans turned creme and the fabric seems ok, took about 12h. And a pair of fake chucks took about 36h to turn light creme from black but when I was done, the fabric was destroyed (if you pulled on it even slightly it would rip).

I haven't tried dyeing yet but just get fabric dye (if it's clothes dye even better) and follow the instructions on the package. It will probably involve boiling, I think.

If you don't apply the bleach on them and instead leave them fully covered in bleach and swish them around a bit they should end up pretty pretty uniform in color - ymmv (my jeans didn't - they look like they've been worn by a grasemonkey, but the chucks did.)

leaving them in the sun should, in theory, bleach them to some extent but I don't think it'll be anywhere close to what chlorine can do. That being said, sun-bleaching probably won't do as much damage to the fabric either, compared to chlorine, maybe no damage at all -I'm not really sure.
