I did this about a year ago, I had no friends for a while and just spent time bettering myself. I copped a qt gf and hung out with her and her friends, aside from my gf they're not extremely /fa/ but they all dress nicer than average. I feel more comfortable around them and they're kind people too. Don't feel bad for "dumping" friends, you have the power to choose to surround yourself with good people

go to college, join a club or something, have roommates, go to a show and make some friends.

Seriously though, I've done this before. I'd hang out with people I had literally nothing in common with. Instead of eating lunch with them I read a lot and it turned out to be a pretty good decision, considering I'm at a good uni and they haven't even finished secondary school yet.

The best way for me was moving house, moved to brisbane to start uni and made a grand total of 1 friend on induction. Dat shit blossmed into now one of my best friends along with alot of new ones and my current gf. At uni our 'group' of friends is always expanding, for some reason others want to be included in it i dont get it haha. Anyways when i moved i say fuck you to the old me, faked my confidence and now i feel as though ive made it. Dont juge people on what they wear cause ya never know, they may be the most interesting people in other respects.

Not saying dont dress well, take pride in yourself and fake it til you make it
