Olive oil and coconut oil right after washes help. wash only with conditioner and avoid shampoos with chemicals that dry the fuck out of your hair.

If you are relaxing stick with leave in conditioners. If not, you can use other shampoos.

Oil your scalp every night and your hair before going out into cold weather, wear braids in cold weather (big or small) and hats to keep the tips from breaking off and dying.

They don't. That's a myth propagated by the fact that when white people try to get "dreadlocks" they do weird shit like not washing them for months, and using beeswax/all other sorts of weird shit to keep their ratty "locks" from falling apart. Black people's hair is coarse and will turn to dreadlocks (slowly) if left uncombed, but dirt will actually slow down the process, so they wash their hair as much, if not more, than "regular" hair

people that live south of the border DO shower a lot more than white people tho. Simply due to the fact that extreme heat guarantees you'll take 2-3 showers a day. I never heard of anyone showering less than once a day til I move to Canada
