what's your least favorite detail/trend/article in regards to clothing /fa/?

why do you hate it?

for me, it's zippers on boots. it always looks ugly (especially when the boot has supposedly functional straps or laces), and it actively impairs the functionality of the boot.

I don't personally find zippers that conventional either
When I buy jeans I rather go for buttons because they are more reliable, zippers tend to break more easily and boots are in heavy fucking use compared to any other piece clothing I'm wearing.
Even if it's a high end piece I'd be kinda edgy on buying boots with zippers.

This. I wear Doc Martens, but their soles annoy me. I try avoiding the boots with the gum colored sole along with the yellow lacing. Which just leaves like 7% of their other boots.
