Oil works, but it's a bitch to wash out without shampoo, water won't do the trick as you can guess. Think ahead of a way to remove once you've applied it.

If you didn't plan on removing it, try and apply a tiny amount at a time so it doesn't make your hair too greasy (again it wouldn't be natural body oils which can be washed away fairly easily so watch out).

I use coconut oil before shampooing, personally.

Growing my hair out and it seems to be thicker, denser on my left side, the right side seems a bit thin and I notice it every time I look in the mirror, the left side always seems to catch a draft as well because there isn't as much hair.
To be fair it isn't that noticeable, but I notice it.

This happened I think because I was growing my hair out without any shape whatsover, just combed it forward and down from the crown, I also sleep on my right and used to have a hood up on a hoodie while sleeping, not sure if this fucked up the growth or whatever.

Hoping it will fix itself, any tips?
When it gets longer I will probably just get it all trimmed the same length.

I've used bobby pins in the past. Sometimes ppl care sometimes they don't, sometimes they straight up laugh and snicker at you. A good balance i found was to leave them open but stick the pin in when doing manual work like gardening, running etc.
An alternative would be hair bands.

My hair looks best 2-4 weeks after cut. I have naturally curly sandy brown hair that goes into the beginnings of afromode after 6+ weeks and geta really bad at about 8+ weeks.
I dislike my hair when its 6+ weeks. Currently at that stage now, usually try and make that not obvious by putting a hat on post shower for about 10-20 minutes. Looks ok if I dont wet my hair after getting out of bed too.
Any advice? Im getting my usual haircut tomorrow. I dont want a HY or a buzzcut. Would prefer to avoid any type of undercut.

i have medium length hair with short sides, it's very straight and thick, and i can easily replicate that style with some cream wax and a touch of brylcreem. the wax gives in the moldability that is important for that kind of style and the brylcreem (once it dries) makes it floppy enough for that early leo careless look.

also you might want to blow dry it on high heat low power so it sits in place for the rest of the day. if i don't wash my hair of a while i can replicate that style with the blowdryer alone.

i got waist-long hair and it is boring me out. i have almost straight hair, but when i kead it it get's texture like pic related. what i would need is some more volume on TOP of my head since my facial bone structure is extremely round. i have it parted slightly on the side and layered now. i have a natural sort of ombre in it. i've considered to bleach it so it has more grip on the roots. it is just so healthy and slippery. i tried adding those root-lifting products and they work fine. but they mess my hair up bad, i have to wash them every day when using that. and honestly, i don't have the time to wash and dry my hair that often (it takes about one hour, depending on how much effort i put in). what else could i do? i tried blowdrying in a fashion that lifts the roots, i tried using other products like volume mousses, hair sprays. i tried i tried using volume shampoos. i only condition the ends... i'm out of ideas and i consider just chopping them off since i always just wear them open and it is bland af. i can't do all those fancy updo's cause of my moon-face. and braiding them also looks stupid, i don't know. pls help...
