How can i stop caring if people judge me over what I wear or not? I want to buy some doc martens but at my school every guy pretty much wears vans,chinos, and a t-shirt, (some of the really "fashionable" guys, even wear button-ups, how crazy!) I feel like if I wear docs people will think i'm an autistic loser. How can i learn to not give a fuck? I'm sure other people here have gone through the same experience

No, seriously. When you're in high school, your entire life, your entire social dynamic experiences, are heavily based on what your peers think of you

If you're a smart guy, life experience will naturally mold you to what you want to be in time

This. Never take any of the social dynamics at high school seriously.

Aside: I know adults who hung onto their high school fears and it hurt their lives going forward. One of my girlfriends refused to talk to people or join hobby groups for interests she had because she was sure she'd make a mistake and be bullied for it. Meanwhile in the real world an astronomy club full of people in their 40-60s would have bent over backwards to welcome a cute 21-year-old girl who took astronomical science seriously.

If they dont like it, they wont talk to you (because thats what you dont want) so it will work out. Just dress in what you like. it depends on the docs you're getting, but black 1460s are solid and subtle enough, if anything else, i use mine as a conversation starter with qt tumblr girls who also wear docs, anyone who has negatively commented on them that i know have putrid fits, id get them mate
