My hair is at that level and I think it was maybe 3 months ago that it was at chin length for my bangs. I think rule of thumb is 1/4" a month but my hair grows pretty fast, maybe it's my diet or something. Also, don't do that fucking braid shit.

make sure you still wash your hair every single day. not necessarily with shampoo, just rinse under water and wash it like how you would if you shampooed.
like, scratch the scalp and shit and try and wash the grime out of your scalp and hair.
use a small amount of conditioner.

alternatively you could try using a sulfate-free shampoo with argan oil and use it once a week.
having it sulfate-free will keep your hair from being damaged, and the oil will moisturize your hair and keep it from drying up.

one last note: if you have medium to heavy amounts of dandruff, then long hair is just not for you

No real strict diet but I eat healthy, enough that people get offended that I turn down junk food. I eat red meat maybe only once a week, a lot of high fiber and seafood and eggs. I do my hair like pic related, except my hair is dark reddish brown (dunno why it has a red tint, it used to be black but I'm in the sun a lot). I just use salt spray and leave in conditioner.

mine is in a similar state; it's past chin length on the top and looks great, but the sides are currently just past my ears. i'm thinking of cutting the top a bit to even out the length, but really i'd rather keep what i've grown so far.

i currently hang it over one side, or slightly cover it up with the hair i have with a non-symmetrical middle part, but neither of these are good long term options. i also can't do man bun anymore because the sides are too short to tie but way too long to leave on the sides.

Since I'm needing to keep a professional appearance, I've been mostly letting the top/bangs grow unfettered while keeping the back and sides closely cropped (but not extreme enough for it to look like an HY or undercut) until the top gets long enough so that the sides being long won't look like shit. Appreciate the insight man. Mine used to be dark too, but everything on me started getting lighter after I started taking MSM for my joints. I started experimenting with the sea salt spray this week too hopefully it all goes smooth. So far I like what it does when I put it in at night, my curls get wild and beachy.

Trying to grow my hair to pic related, based Jax. Should I do it, or just continue cutting my sides ? My hair was like that when I was 14 and I loved it. Unfortunately, society happened and I had to cut it.

But right now it's short as fuck. 2 inches on top, 0.5 inches on sides.

I measured it, in 5 months it grew 5 cm(went full retard and buzzcut'ed), so 1cm per month.

Do I just let it grow and go full no contact with the barber? I'll slick it back in the awkward phase, I love doing that anyway.

Any tips to make it grow faster? Castor oil?

Also,it's kinda thin and rare, but I don't shred a single hair. Hairline is not fucked.
Mom's dad had great hair, mom's brother is balding, dad is balding, dad's dad had great hair, dad's brother has great hair.

What are some good weather-proof hair products? I swear I'll spend half an hour meticulously styling my hair, and then arrive at work with it ruined because I have to walk for around 15-30 minutes in strong winds and rain.

Is my forehead too large for hairstyles that involve pushing my hair back, or am I being too self conscious? I feel like I have a giant forehead, but I've noticed that there are a lot of models with large foreheads as well, so I might be overthinking things.
