Does this tag look legit for a Rick Owens lambskin leather jacket?

>> No.9382286

>>9382282

Yeah, that's the new tag formatting that they switched to starting with spring '13 or so, I think. A couple of notable differences from the old tags, but looks right from here. Is there a reason you're concerned?

yeah i bought it in china town on a trip to nyc guy said 200 dollars I said all i had was 80 he said lemme call my boss, then spoke in chinese then said ok you take for 80.

>>9382290

Well, this wouldn't be the first time someone copied the tags (though they often get minor details wrong). The better test is to look at the actual construction, the materials, the notions, etc. A tag is pretty easy to copy, a whole jacket is a lot harder.

>>9382282

Also, I haven't had much experience with the Moldova stuff, but my tags are always in Italian first and say "Prodotto da" rather than "Distributed by". Anybody who owns the non-Italian leather able to contribute?

Some of the thread is coming out around the inner armpit, and the material on the inside sleeve is different by the cuff on the right side compared to the left. It also MAY just be my imagination and me freaking out but I feel like the zipper is crooked? Also I Thought I heard Rick doesn't use YKK because it's a ykk zip

Newer seasons have been switched to YKK, but they're at least made in Japan and like some of the plastic products that YKK has manufactured in China.

I've personally never seen a Rick product code with 5 digits (i.e. 07028), but that could also be another quirk of the Moldovan products that I've just never encountered. All the FW15 Sphinx stuff I've looking at is also 4 digits.

Okay I'm glad to hear that from at least two people. I just asked a friend if it was crooked and she said I was crazy. She did think there was something up with the inner sleeve though. Yeah not sure what's going on with it, I might just try to delude myself into thinking it's real rather than be potentially laughed out of a store.

>> No.9382346

>>9382338

What difference will it make?

>>9382339

Any metal zipper in a sufficiently heavy gauge is going to be expensive. RiRi, Lampo, YKK (Excella or otherwise), Raccagni; they're all pricey notions and a lot of them can easily be $20 retail for designers, even in bulk. I would assume that the shift to YKK is for more reliable sourcing than anything else.

>> No.9382353

>>9382282
Op Rick doesn't do 5 digits on his tag, also the top part of the tag is always in italian. If you bought online demand a refund through paypal for item not as described.

That's 100% not genuine.

I've seen in the 'legit check' thread on StyleZeitgeist that plinth has the longer code and similar label.

I'm looking around and I see a couple of 5 digit tags. There's a high neck Intarsia on Rakuten that's coded 07021 and has the same leather designation, so there might have been specific variations on styles that season. The English does raise a red flag for me, but given that there are leather products of non-Italian origin, that might not be a definitive answer.

That said, most of the details OP has provided (especially point of purchase) does make things seem dubious.

Yeah I just finished reading the thread, there is no way in hell this thing is genuine. Even if it was stolen they're not going to sell it for 80 dollars. They'd start at 700 and work their way down to at the very least 250. I pass through to get to work everyday and have bought my fair share of knock offs.

with ramones, Drkshdw from from SS13-FW13 says drkshdw on the inner sole and rick owens ont the outer sole.

from SS14 it started printing drkshdw on both

and yes mainline ramones had non leather material here and there as a precursor to them making it strictly for drkshdw lines

A couple should be circulating, but I don't think these were very popular when they dropped - I got them for a steal - months before the sale - despite buying them retail. We're talking ~360 usd. I'm pretty sure the store fucked up and marked them wrong because they were like 1350 USD shipped to the US at the same time, which worked out great for me.

I haven't got them laying around right now, but I've heard some things about a new shoe last for Rick footwear and something about them being more TTS now?

/fa/scist, mifune, got any input?

I'm a 42 in most shoes and I believe I bought my Cargobaskets in either 41.5 or 42. I could check a couple of different shoes I wear and compare sizes, but right now I'm visiting my parents for a couple if days and haven't got any shoes here.
