What does /fa/ think about grey monochrome as a dressing style?

Almost all my clothes are grey. Shirts, pants, t-shirts, coats, shorts, etc.
I eventually throw some white or a pastel color in the middle, but it's usually monochrome.

I'd post a fit, but my phone is broken, so get one from the internet. I'm male, though, if it matters.

sure if you like to look like you're wearing a tracksuit

i mean, if you're wearing various shades of grey, it could definitely work, but if it was all the same color and texture of grey it would look like you're wearing a track suit

What about grey shorts with a grey tshirt? Similar shades.

I like it, but like somebody else said it looks like a tracksuit most of the time.
When I was thinking about doing it I saw somebody wearing pretty much this the same day, ruined it for me.

That's dope, I think Ill give it a try
I think in summer, when you can use shorts instead of pants, it might look better and avoid the "looking like a tracksuit" thing.

why does acne use the ugliest models possible?

>> No.9373960

Key is to not buy it in just standard athletic sweatshirt heather grey. Dove grey, charcoal, cadet grey, slate grey will instantly banish any of those tracksuit connotations. Even tinted greys (hints of purple or brown) can work, too.

acne have always had passable designs and fit but the price for it actually is/where its made is absurd, I have a few pieces and I'd never think to pay near retail for them

>> No.9386376

>>9386361
around acne prices or a bit lower.
as far as style goes, I like stuff that doesn't draw too much attention but still sticks out. I'm OP and as you can see I like to keep it simple, but interesting. Does that make any sense? Slight degrade, monochrome, few geometric shapes, a few details here and there on the piece... nothing over-the-top. And a great fit, of course. fit > everything

maybe shirts
sweaters are shit
coats are overpriced, could buy something with better quality

what middle-ground designer would you recommend instead? Nothing too expensive or too bad-quality.

>> No.9405294

>>9405274
these are not really middle ground, but maybe you can take a look:

Norse Projects - good for comfy fits, good wool sweaters, trousers, beenies, socks, etc.
COS - good all around, solid items
Zara - despite what /fa/ says, you can find good things here, HOWEVER, it hugely depends on your country, and sometimes you have to browse a lot to find good stuff.

I think this would be the bottom line, anything cheaper than this it's pretty shit. There are more, but nothing comes into my head now.
