So this is the beginners guide right here, as it stands, it's just a screencap from a kanyetothe thread, but all the info here is solid.
if someone wants to edit and make it more readable or something, be my guess.

speaking of maintenance,

Has anyone read this book? I've been thinking about buying it.

no joke guys, in 6 days these two pics will have one year of difference. One year passed and my hair looks like it is 6 months old or less. Is there something that can help the growth of my hair ? it is really fragile, soft and breaks easily. I had been using olive oil, could that be the cause, is olive oil a troll?

how do you get your hair to get that quality on the right? Mine is too curly for that.

I haven't but I've heard about it, and really would like to read it myself.
you should buy it/read it, and then distill it's knowledge to us anon.

Would this work on textured hair?:
>>9318334
>Bleach your roots after about 1/2 inch of growth, then tone your hair. Use a purple shampoo as your normal shampoo, and you'll be set. Don't let your roots come in too long or you'll get a weird dark yellow line where your newly bleached hair meets your old bleached hair. The trick is to keep toning it and not let it get too yellow. Also, use a white, silicon free conditioner. Bleached hair sucks up anything it touches and the silicone in most conditioners will fuck up your hair. And a great inside trick is to lather your hair in coconut oil before you bleach it. Don't wash it out, just bleach over it. It will reduce most of the damage caused by bleach and help keep your hair well nourished. There should be a bunch of youtube videos about it. Bleached hair is really easy to keep up once you figure out how to do it yourself and what products to use.

For reference, here's the hydrogine peroxide technique from last thread:
>Get 3% hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and an oil of your choice
>Sit for five minutes, stir, rub in hair, baggy for up to an hour
>Rinse
>Result=light to medium Brown hair

God damn. I have very thick, very coarse relaxed hair and olive oil works fucking wonders. Leave in conditioner + olive oil + silicone serum = having my hair the way I've always wanted it.

>>9319091
I switched from coconut to olive and it's a world of difference. I can't say it'll help grow your hair, but it will definitely keep it moisturized.

olive oil?

just massage it on your scalp?

Sorry for the late reply.

What I do is after I shampoo and condition my hair (once a week, cowashing and the like never worked for me) and step out the shower, I'll put in a quarter size of leave in conditioner with no oils in it on my hair, then 2-3 drops of olive oil, then I'll "seal" with a silicone serum. I make sure I don't use too much and I just run it through my hair, don't really massage it into my scalp.

After that, I blowdry and flat iron and I'm good.

I don't know it just happens naturally, I use olive oil, that maybe a reason.
