We have to pass down our culture and memories to the coming generations, one day we'll all be gone so it's all we can hope for.

The things we pass down, our art and culture, will be recycled by future generations.

The memetic melting pot.

It's what gone on for centuries.

Jeans, sneakers, tee shirt, bomber jacket.

A mix of what our past generations have passed on.

Pleated skirt, high heels, make up

Our tribal nature makes us dependent on the cultural content of the rest of the group. Desire for acceptance of the everyone else means we will always have to speak the same "language" as the other person.

pretty much, but that does't mean that the cycle is set or that new decades can't make "new" trends to put in the cycle.

But history does have a propensity to repeat itself

to a certain degree, but then again there will pretty much alwaays be niche designers for special types of looks. what is much more cyclical, is the POPULAR fashion, what the average person is wearing.

>> No.9297169

Certain things will come back from time to time but not in their original state. It's more of an echo than a cycle.

Could have done all that in one post, but you just had to split it into two and add loads of space.

The collection is literally titled "Psychedelic Rock", so I don't see why you would need to reach for a more definitive answer than that.

There is nothing inherently cyclical about it. It is simply that the rate of development of new ideas and innovations cannot keep up with the oppressive momentum of consumerism.

The rate at which people are prepared to propitiate new fashion trends, simply to remain "fashionable", is the rate at which capitalism will create them, regardless of whether trends contain new ideas or whether they are entirely recycled.
