Hello /fa/, my first time there. I want to dress well and ready to do everything for it. Already read through whole sticky, but it didn't help me much, since I don't really understand this hair and silhouette theory. Please have a look at me and tell me what clothes and what hair would suit me best. I understand that you won't dress somebody like his mommy, but I really need help in start-up. Tried to do it by myself, went to Uniqlo and H6M and purchased many clothes - in the end I'm not happy with me at all. Have enough money for a start-up I guess, so this time around I will do it right.

Well, hair is the hardest thing for me. I can't really understand which hair would suit me best. I have this short cut I made every month and I want to grow it to see which works best for me.

First of all you will need a hitler youth. It's a great haircut!

When you've got that done you might want to search for a couple of Common Projects Achilles Low, a pair of skinny black jeans (Acne), a couple of white t-shirts, a couple of grey crewnecks, a black bomber and to top it off you will need a 5-panel cap.

your proportions are pretty nice. could work a bit on your upper body but overall pretty good. most important thing is to find clothing that fits.

19, started with university. Basically, I already earn some money at warehouse since it's Double studying (work at a company + study, after you've finished you get job there).
I always liked boots and shirts (got Chippewa's Lace Ups as present, but haven't put 'em on yet). Something like picrelated. My sizing is quite strange though, normally I wear S, but I think xs would suit me better...
>>9179748
Thanks! Man, hitted gym but it didn't really brought me anything. Simply can't gain weight and muscles, past 67 kg is impossible job for me.
Also, I think I must add that I have middle acne right now, started with accutane two months ago so I hope I will get rid of it.

You're pretty much just like me. Same height, weight, body type.

My advice is to start with basic stuff, which means going for quality.
H&M is a no-no, Zara is maybee (disregarding what fa says, you should walk inside, they have some good stuff to begin with), COS if there is one in Germany, some mid-range retailer with Norse, Acne, APC, Our Legacy, CP, etc. (depends on your style).

Slim pants, boots (Timberlands, Wolverines, Red Wing, etc), Air Max, New Balance (the nice ones, you'll see threads), simple shirts, simple t's, a few sweaters, some short-medium jackets, long trench coats are not good for your height.

I actually think this might be a good starting point. Lurk at both MFA and /fa/, after a couple of weeks you might be ready to start buying and forming your own wardrobe. Take everything you see here (and MFA) with a grain of salt, because both places are huge hiveminds.

Thanks. This my current winter jacket (Carhartt). Is it okay or should I sell it? I like it, it's warm (sorry for pants though, my home clothes).
So, better buy less, but quality stuff? Simple colors (no flowers and prints and so on)?

>> No.9180059

The jacket is good IMO, you can make it work with darker jeans/ wool pants and black boots. (not so much with brown ones).

>So, better buy less, but quality stuff? Simple colors (no flowers and prints and so on)?

Exactly.
Try to ask for the minimalist fashion infographic, it's a good starting place.

I must add that arms are a bit too long, but only because of my girly hands. But I wear it with wool gloves, so it looks normal.

Oh and by the way, skinny or tapered jeans? Wanted to order one pair from Denimio since people tell me selvedge is better and more durable (funny, they cost even less then Levi's there in Germany).

>> No.9180577

And another important question (hopefully my thread won't die).
How do I know that something fits "right"? Tshirt somewhere on hip level, shirt a bit below? What about shoulders, what's exactly meant under "point of the shoulder"?
