What's the limit when it comes to fucked up canvas shoes?

Converse, Vans... Whatever? How far is too far?

Can I get a few examples?

you can cop these for under $90 easily...which is basically the same price as the 1970's edition that these are based off.

I had a pair of vans that I wore for around 3 years. The last year I was using them to go jogging in. The only problem was the hole on the bottom of the soles and sides. Other than that, it held up pretty well.

Really depends on your lifestyle. If your style is grimey then sure, wear them to hell and back. But if you're wearing otherwise pristine clothing, it's going to look strange. Use your best judgement, they can physically be worn until they literally fall apart.

I don't really think there is a huge limit on how beat up they should be. Just depends on your whole fit.

For instance these are mine. They have holes, they are multi colored from the indigo on my jeans, and they have some paint on them. But I've worn these so much I almost hate wearing other shoes. These are ridiculously comfortable for me, so I wear them a lot.

Basically, I'd say too far is when the shoe is so destroyed that what the original shoe was isn't originally identifiable, or the shoe has no shape anymore. Like OPs pic is ridiculous.

But other than that, just wear what goes with your fit m8.

I like beat-up Converse, but they always seem to fail for me in the same way as in your pic.

The sole always seems to break near the ball of your toe, and I kind of wish this wasn't the first part to go.

>> No.9165702

>>9165685
Just curious, do you have a hole that forms on the bottom of the left shoe right on the pad of your foot? Because this and my last pair did the same damn thing.

Yeah, me too - same spot every time.

I see others with beat-up converse - yet they don't have this distinctive flaw, so I wonder if they are almost purposefully careless about their shoes, beating them up before they attain this flaw.

Of course, it could just be my feet and the way I walk.
