Can we get some business fashion going on? I personally love looking professional going to class, sets me apart from my classmates and i always get faculty and students thinking i'm a professor/staff.

I love wearing a suit with my fedora. I wear them with cargo pants and a metal band t-shirt so I look badass and classy at the same time.

Black captoe oxfords are a good first black dress shoe right? Anyone know w2c some under 125? I'm stalking ebay for some AE Park Avenues but so far nothing has come up.

Really only on planning on wearing them a few times a month for when I need to dress up or something, and business casual doesn't cut it. (Because I have AE MacAllisters in a brown leather I use for all else)

Because I was in the gym, on a phone, and there a reason why i majored in accounting not literature. You're comparing apples to oranges mate, probably to make yourself feel better about your own shortcomings.

I'm a high school teacher in a country where people in education are expected to dress fairly well, and the fashion you see here is fucking atrocious.

Basically, everyone remembers when he was a student and the disciplinarian made him do push-ups or whatever whenever he got caught with his shirt untucked. So everyone dresses like a schoolboy with no regard for the quality or fit of his clothing.

Which is fine I guess, but it's frustrating when you're better dressed than all the other teachers in your office and then some jackass administrator tells you to get a haircut and tuck your shirt in and put on a tie while you're at it. The number of people who wear an oversized short-sleeved button-up that's billowing out of their trousers and then slap a poorly lengthed tie on along with slacks that are bunched up around their ankles like a pair of pajamas is astonishing. I don't think I've ever seen anyone bother trying to wear a jacket.

Why cap-toed Oxfords? If you want a more versatile shoe that's just as good for dressing up unless you're going out in tuxedos or something, just get a pair of Bluchers or Derby shoes. You'll be able to wear them more than a few times a month without looking like a douchebag.

Most traditional companies in the states (I noticed this especially at established law firms) Anything but oxfords were unacceptable.

Christ, any but double vented suits would cause you grief from senior partners.

Double vent is more formal than single vent. Single vent was first created for sport jackets.

i used to be like this when i was entry level fashion faggot. i wanted to strut my new shit and looking back now, i go into a cringe fest.

Because a derby isn't formal enough for the type of occasions you'd usually wear a suit for. A black oxford is by far the most versatile formal shoe.

Well you can dress down a black captoe oxford, but you can't really dress up a derby shoe. Again, I already own a brown pair of brogues so this is more for business professional and up.

Anyways, anybody know w2c a decent pair of captoe oxfords for around 125?
