After seeing pictures of people like Esperanza Spalding with the neat looking afros, I'm thinking of going natural. The problem is I haven't actually seen my natural hair since I was a tiny kid so I don't know what to expect. I'm afraid I might have hair like pic related but with much less density. I'm mostly getting tired of the damage chemicals cause it

Should I keep it straight or leave it alone for a year or two and see what happens? Is keeping up natural hair harder than keeping up with straight hait? What do you guys think?

So this is the length of my hair at the moment. It had been a short back and sides cut, two on the sides and heavy on the top, but it's obviously grown out a bit since then. Ok /fa/ looking for advice for my hair/beard style.

Yeah yeah, I know, I've lost like 70lbs and I'm still working on it, well at least the fat part.

I'm not sure how to handle my hair. It's blonde and gets very curly at longer lengths (kinda forms a 90s skater kid bowl shape after a while). I'm sure you guys can tell that I also have a pretty big forehead and a high hairline. My facial hair grows at a pretty fast rate and I'm positive I can grow a full beard, just I haven't ever taken the effort since I'm afraid it'd look shit.

So should I go for a buzz or keep growing it out? and if so what style should I aim for? Also yes or no to both a beard and to glasses or contacts?

If it means anything to anyone I'm 6feet tall with blue eyes.

The hair on the sides of my head always seem to stick out and it's really annoying to try to get it to lay flat. The only thing I seem to be able to do is attack it with product or put on a hat/beanie to force it into place.

Any tips on getting it to lay flat? Pulled something off google that looks similar.

I need to get a haircut tomorrow for a job.

I have a very long face and my hair gets really thick really quickly. I usually go for a 2 back and sides and longer on top but I'm sick of the same cut.

Here's a pic of how it looks now. No styling done - this is just how it sits. I've got a cowlick on one side too.

Looking for someone to do me a solid and offer some advice on cuts. It grows so fast and is ridiculously hard to style. Just does whatever the fuck it wants to do.

That's what I always do, getting a cut later today.

Figured I'd ask this here instead of making a thread

So I have random scabs on my scalp. I don't really scratch my head too often, so I don't know where they come from. Anyway, they've been the reason I've been putting off getting a haircut, and so it's just been growing for the past 9 months.

Do any other of you guys get it, and if so what should I do? Also, if there are any cutters/stylists out there is this a common thing you see?

For reference, I wash my hair with a dry scalp shampoo 2-3 times a week
