I wear mine because there aren't any good vegan boots out there that have the look I want.

I dont wear leather so its a good alternative for those that want combat boots. I work at a rock venue and i saw tons of little girls wearing Docs at a Paramore show. But you know what? I was also at a harsh noise show, and in record stores, and in Downtown Berkeley/Oakland and people of all walks of life wear them. People wear Docs, athletic shoes, whatever the hell they want. Docs are meant to be simple.

They're boots.
