Really?

Where can I find this? I'm very curious to see what /lit/ has cooked up.
I know that there are some pretty clever and creative people on here at times, that mixed with the fucked up collective mind of this site might actually have resulted in something interesting/entertaining.

First page:

>“Maybe just cut the prawns out,” nobody in particular replied. Anon had little time to consider
the words before he was bathed in radiant light and the walls around him dissolved.
“I SEE YOU’VE BEEN CHEATING ON YOUR CALORIES,” shouted a giant effigy of Robin
Williams, “AND THE TIME HAS COME TO PAY FOR YOUR SINS.”

A literary masterpiece I see.

What if designers sketched and posted garment designs, and then production workers made them? We could then sell them online too.
We could host a mini kickstarter to pay for fabric. And then run it through magazines and media as the world's first online collaborative fashion season.

maybe. Fashion design is a lot harder than you think though you have to have money for fabrics, a place for designing the clothes, creating them, and storing them. Hiring people willing to make the clothes, or anons with good sewing skills could volunteer. Have to have a decent due date for all pieces, make sure they are sized correctly and anatomically suitable for the consumer, etc.

oh hey, me too! What school are you going to? I'm currently in my first year of college taking business but i figured it's boring as shit and i wouldn't enjoy doing this my whole life, so upcoming semester i'm planning to get a diploma in fashion design. Going to Blanche Macdonald in Vancouver :)

Vancouverfag here, coincidentally heading into fashion design as well

Haven't heard the best about Blanche's program, but you don't really have much options in Vancouver.

Personally still considering if I should take a program in Van first or just power through into my early 20s and save up a bit more so I can go to my dream school

Good to hear about other people in Vancouver going into fashion design at least. There are very few schools that offer the program i think about 5-6? There's Blanche, Kwantlen, VCC, Art institute (heard tuition is 40k+ and is a total scam), Laselle, John Casablanca, could be more but i'm unsure.

Out of all the Schools i listed probably Kwantlen is the most preferred pick, but the requirements are time consuming and requires a lot of work from a student if they didn't have any previous intention of going into Fashion in the first place. That's what i'm thinking too, i'm personally going to get my diploma in fashion design and plan on doing internships to get good experience in the industry. It's a tough choice, maybe saving up for that dream school could be worth it but what would you be doing in the mean time?

>> No.8981587

>>8981570

I was planning on starting the part time program at VCC, which would have been perfect because it would be evening classes only, giving me time during the day for work and personal research, etc. But the continued lack of applicants (They didn't even run the program if there were less than 8 applicants) ended up with them cancelling the program altogether.

Right now I'm thinking VCC diploma, heard terrible things about LaSalle Vancouver and VCAD.

I graduated highschool last year and have been taking a few years off.

Job market for this field in Vancouver is absolutely terrible.

I'm still going to go to my goal school, it's just a matter of "do I take a short program for more experience, which would set me back around 20K towards the goal school?" or "should I just keep working so I'll have enough money for the goal school sooner"?

In my free time I've just been doing alot of general research and reading, just experiencing life and culture which helps alot for creativity. Also have an assistant position at a techwear design studio which I'm not really taking full advantage of but getting back into it now. Been working misc. jobs at restaurants, etc. But currently have a really good job opportunity that I really don't want to miss.

There's alot you could do in the meantime, and for me school is no rush, because anyone can learn the technical skills but not everyone has the creativity / awareness or critical eye for the zeitgeist and clothing
