Lol, fuck that. I have an element coat now bought a few years ago. It's nice just really short on the length.

I copped a Gloverall off ebay for 100 funbux. Warm as sin

I need something more casual tho. Anyone know a good black parka (preferably that is a little longer)?

It's quite decently padded, but that's something you have too figure out for yourself. I'd say it's an autumn/winter/early cold spring jacket.

I'd like to sew a decent mid weight coat, but I need a bit of help with it.
Last coat I used the pattern in my pic. The coat was obnoxiously loose, and way too heavy with the weight of wool I used.

Pic would be perfect, as it's a bit closer fitting, has a collar I like, and overall is just a decent simple style.
Only problem is i'd have to order it. Is a set in sleeve better than raglan?

>> No.8894805

>>8894768
Without other stuff (a gusset, a bi-swing back, etc.) a raglan sleeve will have a broader range of motion compared to a set in sleeve.

Otherwise it's up to taste.
