Hey /fa/, can we get some workwear inspo? Mainly looking for the flannel shirt/ jeans kind of look. On a side note, does flannel ever really go out of style? Seems like it's ever present, albeit with slightly changing pattern types

Also, what are some good places to find cheap, comfortable flannel?

>> No.8696332

LL Bean has nice flannels for pretty cheap. They are probably the best sub $100 flannel new. They are cut kind of weird though. Uniqlo gets reccomended a lot but I don't have any experience with them

Forgot to add don't be afraid to thrift flannels. That is usually a thrift store strong point. If this thread is still active when I get up I'll dump some pics.

I've honestly never been in my local thrift store other than to donate gently used clothes that I outgrew when I was younger. After seeing so many people talking about them on here though, I need to check it out. Pretty small town though, so I'm not getting my hopes up.

Yes it does go out of style.

also flannel is a confusing term b/c imo this >>8696324 and >>8696343 aren't really flannels, they just have a similar pattern but they're just shirts.

Exactly what defines flannel? I thought it referred to any cotton/wool fabric or combination of the two woven in a specific way.

You're spot on with the definition. The pattern is called tartan and other shirts that aren't made of flannel can have the pattern printed on them.
