DIY thread: post fashion related diy

Hi /fa/,
I want to try an experiment.
I have a lot of plain black tees, and some old white button-ups. So I was thinking about making something of it... pic related. To cut of the collar of the shirt and to put it on the tee. Since it's still summer it's pretty hot to wear one under another and I don't really have a lot of money currently, and it could come useful to perfect my sewing skills.
What do you think? Should I go for it?

>>8670121
why would you ever wear a tee over a shirt anyway

this is like those guys that wear the cut off things that are just the neck of a turtleneck
like what

Because then it kinda looks like a sweater over a shirt... better than just a plain tee... maybe

>>8670201
yeah but polos are just tees with collars. This would look like a shirt is under the tee, but it actually isn't.
plus polo's collars are really soft and flappy and I don't like it.

Needs more bleach.
Make it white.

this works because of the texture/fabric of the tee and because thats a polo underneath. most cotton or poly tees are too flimsy/thin to counteract the crinklyness and drape of a shirt. a sweater works because its thick enough to keep the folds of a shirt flat underneath
since its a polo it is softer than the outer layer

good look

I want to put some a patch on the arm of my Sage Green bomber jacket(picrelated). I'm American, should I put an american patch on the arm? I want to put a flag patch on it for sure, but I know some people put on a German flag patch, British, etc. What do you think would look best?
