All that really matters is that they're a marketable product essentially, that they've got some kind of draw. There's none who can't be improved with the available means. Nearly anything can be polished into looking shiny and new without the alterations seeming too obvious. There's tones of great looking people who never get 15 minutes and just as many rubes who are polished so well that you might never know the difference. A lot of it's got a lot to do with luck, shrewdness and boldness.
