I remember last September I was walking to Prospect Park and saw a super-disheveled looking guy with really dirty, bare feet sitting on a bench on Grand Army Plaza, just outside the park. I figured he was homeless, even after I noticed there were some boots by his feet. It was only when I was walking right past him that I saw they were Cargobaskets.

What /fa/ think if I go to the gym in them? They have a pretty flat sole so I'm thinking about deadlifting in them.

Seems a waste. Why gym in a pair of difficult and expensive to replace statement sneakers with a sole not designed for weightlifting when you can either do it in actual weightlifting shoes or near disposable, easily replaceable shoes?
