I would lose all hope in /fa and the taste of it's denizens, however the weakness of these blogs in concept and application is probably due to wider systemic factors.

The sedentary scrolling lifestyle now means we less and less access content with semantic depth. We scroll past, stop and click "like" with no thought to the process, the context, the ideas or emotions the images were created with or convey.

We are left with (similarly to japans youth culture) a "superflat" purely aesthetic differentiation. Superfluous and superficial, even then when image is everything why do we continue to not think about image in wider context?

The jogging and other "internet 2.0" artists attempt to satirise this phenomena but actually refuel the self-congratulatory generation y culture that robs creativity and increasingly moves towards the a generic globalised youth culture with no grassroots.

Generation Y is without true subculture. The ones that do exist I imagine survive only due to having no online presence.

4. track tags and tag your shit
if you're a theme-oriented blog and need more content, e.g. if you're a runway blog you can go to /tagged/aw14 or whatever and queue/reblog posts from there
you should also tag your posts yourself to organise your blog, its like filtering by category and then people can scroll through your posts there
5. queue your shit
fill up your queue and that will automatically post your queue at a certain time that you set
(e.g. 4 posts a day from a queue at a timezone of gmt+9)
this makes your blog consistent and if you're sleeping this can post stuff for you so that people on the other side of the world can view your posts directly from their dashboard knowing your blog is alive
6. don't be a piece of shit
tumblr tends to always have drama, so dont get into that and conserve your energy on something better
