Yo, I'm part of the team behind grailed.com. What do you think? Any questions, feedback whatever?

I know, we're working on it. It's even worse on mobile. Fix is coming soon.

Why does everything have to be in USD?

>> No.8410744

It always logs me out after a few hours. Also, you should really split clothes into more categories. It's annoying to look for t-shirts in a sea of jackets and sweaters, and it's even worse to find shorts in the piles of raw denim. Also, a legit feedback system would be great.

If someone sets a price for an item that is significantly higher than any other item listed on the site, it throws the sliding price filter out of whack.

Also, what >>8410744 and >>8410757 said.
When the seller enters a brand, they should be required to select from a curated list or specifically select an 'other' option, after which they can enter a brand of their choosing.

awesome awesome website, i've probably sold a little over $1k of stuff on it.

expanding images kind of sucks though, and ppl should be encouraged to upload hires pictures and detail pics of flaws, though that's more of a seller concern

having to include shipping and paypal fee inside of the price is convenient for listing but honestly should be outside of the offering price.

items should be able to be bumped after a month without dropping the price.

other than that great job and ganbatte

>> No.8410772

needs a mobile app/site

also grailed direct should have measurements of all the sizes posted for the items. i asked for measurements on the live chat a while back and never got them

I'll see what we can do about the login thing, I don't have that issue though, what browser do you use? I'll test it this week.
>>8410745
Everything is currently in USD as around 80% of our userbase is based in the US or uses USD, so it's just a convenience thing, but I'll see if we can throw in a converter at the top for you, would that help or? How does receiving or sending paypal through USD work for you, is that an issue too?

Yeah, as I mentioned, brand list curation is coming and we're redoing the pricing filter soon, it's pretty useless with the couple $1k items on there ;) throws it all out of whack and I've noticed.
>>8410770
thanks man, good to hear it! What's your user name or your wardrobe link? I'll throw you into the betas for new features if you want. Also, The imaging thing is being worked on. We're working on a better solution for the paypal fees thing, though it works pretty well if you use it correctly as it stands. The price is the price, and then shipping is quotable. I think there needs to be more documentation for how the offer system works with fluctuating fees though.

Hey, just wanted to say thanks - it's been great using the site so far.
I think the biggest improvement would be if you added a free-text or keyword based search, as often I'm looking for a specific product and items are somewhat frequently mistagged or under a 'like' tag. the add to fitting room link is not super obvious in it's current location, it'd be way more visible near the make offer button.

I agree with straw >>8410770 on the bit about the shipping portion of the offer price. I myself had a lot of confusion of whether or not the shipping price was to be added after an offer was accepted.

Out of curiosity, what's your technology stack? It appears to be a Rails app - I actually do a lot of work in Rails eCommerce as well, but with Spree (not for spree commerce.. we just use it).

Keyword search is coming, trying to figure out the best way to implement that to make it as useful as we can. As far as technology stack, that's not 100% my side of the site so I don't want to give you the wrong details, if you shoot us an email, we can get you more information and we'd love to talk about Spree.

That's good to hear, I definitely don't think switching to Spree would be appropriate for your guys site at all but in the event that you guys use Ruby on Rails I, or someone I work with has likely faced many of the same problems (in fact I just finished fleshing out the search functionality on one of our sites). If you want to shoot me an email(in the field) I can link you to my Github - just don't want to post professional credentials on here. I wouldn't mind sharing any knowledge that I have.
Keep up the good work!

Definitely work on the feedback system.

I bought an item from a member and it took him like 3 weeks to ship, he shipped it and all was good but still I had no ability to make any comment that it took so long. This certain member had like +15 feedback.

Also yeah, the picture enlarger sucks.

And last I think it should be a rule that you have to post at least one picture of the item that ISNT a stock pic.

>> No.8410901

>>8410891
Also the site is incredible, I love it. Thank you so much.

One more thing, it would be cool if the designer names were condensed, and the item specifics were expanded (like t shirt, shorts, pants, etc)

Fuck no to this.

Buyers should not be responsible for covering the sellers fee from Paypal. It's why Grailed is great it takes the Ebay template and takes one of two service fee's the seller would be charged.
