If you are using them for sports or driving, go for it. I've got a pair of cheap polarized wrap-arounds for when I'm riding my bike, just to stop that shitty strobing effect you can get when the sunlight comes in the the side of your glasses.

For the love of God don't wear them for anything else, unless your 12 years old or wear a leather trench coat, Fear Factory T-Shirt and carry an obscenely large and elaborate knife with you at all times.
