Wearing old beat up chucks just makes you look poor, if you mean worn in a little bit so that the part of the toe that curves upwards, straightens out (while still being clean) then fine i get what you mean but wearing dirty shoes (no matter what) is not /fa/ especially if it's a cheap pair of shoes that can easily be replaced for 40 bucks.

This is the exact opposite of my opinion. I think that most clothing looks better when it's worn in and beaten up. New pieces to me tend to look flashy and cocky while beat up pieces are more modest and genuine. Denim and leather especially look better with age.

This isn't strictly related to the thread but I thought I'd post it anyway:
I have the CDG chucks in OP's pics and because the laces are super long I was tying them around the the shoe to use up extra length, but the laces would always ride up and end up on my ankle above the shoe which looks silly and is annoying. So to fix it I now have them laced to the second top hole (like in op's pic) and when I wrap the laces around i come back through the top hole and tie them as normal. Stops the laces riding up. Anyway, thought some anons might find this useful .
