I don't understand why anyone would actually want modelling as a career path if you have any other marketable skills whatsoever. You're just a human clothes rack, you're easily replaceable, average annual income is 18k and when you eventually get dumped by the industry at about 26 years old you have no transferable skills unless you've developed yourself into a brand.

Models dont plan on it for a long term. Its a side job for most of us. You go in, make a casting call, and either get 10,000$+ for a single day of work or get paid a smaller amount of money per hour. They have you working in events and all sorts of other small jobs to make ends. You get most of your expenses offset if you're traveling, you dont have to take any of the work the agency gives your way ( aka you can do other jobs until your career pays off) and there are plenty of jobs for commercial advertising (if editorial doesnt take off or ends suddenly) even up to age 70. I'm not saying the government statistics are wrong, just that you don't know what you're talking about.

Not sure if you could say I was successful but the coolest story I have to tell from when I was a model. I was in a competition and top 5 got a free trip to paris. I make top 5, confirm my tickets all that kinda thing, Then the week of they suddenly tell me im considering to professional of a model so im not allowed to go.

It was bullshit as it wasnt part of the rules, and I certainly wasnt anything great. But thems the breaks. And its a nice story I guess lol.

My brother's 5'10, 116 lbs (liver disease), has good cheekbones but somewhat chubby cheeks that make them less obvious, and doesn't work out at all and is going to be in paris fashion week. I know that makes him sound really unappealing but his face is pretty model-esque despite not having hollow cheeks, and he definitely has the "look" that some houses are going for these days

Lots of male models have some acne/acne scarring if you've ever looked at closeup photos of them on the runway you can tell that their faces are covered in makeup. It helps to have a clear complexion, but if you're really attractive enough to be a model and slight evidence of acne or acne history, it's not enough to disqualify you

I don't need to hand out credentials on why or why not what I'm saying is valid, I'm just giving you my two cents here. Your base IS good, strong cheekbones and good brow. Chin isn't the greatest, and your head is a bit proportionally small, but you could still grow into your features. At 6'3" you'd be suggested to slouch a bit at castings (do this in your legs, shoulders are too obvious usually.)

depends on the agency. They didn't teach me shit before I started test shooting. I learned during the test shoot ( by photographers direction and by looking at my own shots) and read online for some tricks on working with the lighting and stuff. I also learned my walk from the internet and the creative director at my agency when I was doing a video to be sent out for casting..

There are classes for it, and classes for runway available, though.
