Mild undercut plus whatever style I feel like on top. Stay away from longer hair unless you really know you can pull it off, most guys cannot.

I've been wearing an HY since before I discovered /fa/ because I loved the way it looked in WWII documentaries.
Since then I've gone from wearing it up to down, though. I cut my own hair with scissors and comb and just towel-dry.

I do not, sorry. I just started going at it with a few mirrors until I got better.
Leave the top long, cut a line of medium/short hair under it to fade into the very short back and sides. A comb is a great guard to make sure you don't cut out patchy spots or anything, I cut it with the comb in between scissors and scalp.

Hey guys, since this threads already here...
I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow, but I'm still not 100% on a style. Its just gotten stupid long and I'm sick of wearing hats (pic is almost two months old). My hair is very fine if that matters.

I like the undercuts that look a bit like fluffy mohawks, but I'm not sure how it'll look on me.

Undercut, I just load it up with too much pomade (murrays or dax usually) and comb it back with a part, growing the top until it's long enough to slick straight back then get a fade on the side. Used to rock it while dealing cards in a casino, looked dope.

I can never find clear pictures on the internet of that really common hairstyle that's like a fohawk (fauxhawk?) that's a really, really short version of it. Maybe it's not even technically a fohawk? Hey guys, how big would you say is the difference between a good hairdresser and a bad one?

I'm an architecture student and I can say there's a hell of a difference between a good architect and a bad one, and I can spot it in a second just seeing their work. But when I see haircut pics I'm not sure how much of it is hairdresser's merit and how much the guy himself or his hair.

I mean, I'm pretty sick of getting pleb cuts poorly executed that don't look at all as what I asked for. I don't even know if it's just my hair or that I haven't found a good professional yet.
