Okay, so I figured I would ask here since this board seems closest to the subject I mean to discuss.

I normally lurk just on /adv/ so forgive me if I break one of your "memes" or codes of conduct around here.

So, a lot of people have been telling me that I can be a model if I wanted. I'm usually like, "no way" because I have meat on my bones and I'm not that skinny. But they say that with my looks I can do it if I tried, and that it's worth the attempt.

I have modeled, I have been around models, I can tell you that they can come in many heights, but being average looking and wearing makeup isn't enough. You need a certain something, presence, personality, something the camera can grab even with the photographer is an amateur.

Yes, you can do modeling. My sister in law does modeling and you're on her level. Maybe not supermodel but definitely regular work. Figure out how to get into basic modeling first.
