What product can I get to achieve this look? I got some gel/wax once and all it did was make my hair look greasy and it didn't have a strong hold. The first posts I've quoted have a nice shiny-wet look with a strong hold but the posts I've quoted under this paragraph have a more dry-and-natural-yet-shiny look but again look like they have a strong hold. I have REALLY thick jet-black hair and because its there's so much of it as it is so dense it always 'poofs' out and looks too wild rather than neat and closer to my head if that makes sense? Oh and it looks very dull and shine-lacking but that may because I never wash my hair with shampoo?

So I've got to get a haircut some time next week. But every time I tell my hairdresser "Short back and sides" she makes it all short and I end up looking dumb until it grows back out a little.
What do /fa/? I feel stupid showing them pictures on my phone, will they think I'm retarded if I do?
Also, are there any good guides out there on how to cut your own hair? I'm sick of paying a shit ton of money for dis shit.

Not the same dude you were talking to, but I do no poo like :

-Wash once a week with anti-dandruff shampoo (I got the flakes, son.)
-Only wash it when it starts to get really gross, not when it's already gross and you can't been seen outside gross.
-On days I shower when I don't wash my hair, I just run it through tepid water; not too hot, not too cold.

I have a rather large widows peak/shitty hairline.

This is how I usually wear my hair (just gotten out shower and let it dry, no product)

Any other styles I could do with my hairline? They tend to look different when I try them
